- Keep calm in tense situations, Cambodians don’t appreciate it when visitors lose their tempers.
- Dress: Cambodia is hot, so stick to lightweight, breathable materials. Avoid clothing that is too revealing. A hat and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are recommended, particularly for touring the temples.
- Photography near military posts is forbidden, It is polite to ask permission before photographing people, particularly monks.
- Tipping: While tipping is not expected, it is appreciated. Hotels and high-end restaurants typically add a service charge.
